In conversation with Kayleigh Buckingham-Pegg!
Kayleigh is an International Student Recruitment Officer at the University of Warwick.
Her career in Higher Education (HE) began in 2012 at the University of Kent, her alma mater, where she studied French and drama, working as a Recruitment Officer.
Stemming from her time as a student ambassador, Kayleigh realised her love for communication and interacting with people. This led her to student recruitment, as meeting students and parents is a fundamental part of the role.
After working in the UK and European Team at the University of Kent, Kayleigh’s desire to travel was solidified, prompting her to join the International Team in 2016.
She then began her journey at the University of Warwick in 2019, which Kayleigh highlights as one of the biggest milestones in her career.
Her career progression was influenced by her desire to see new places and meet new people, resulting in changing territory, rather than climbing the ranks.
